Itinerary

Sikles Easy Mountain Trek

Day 1: Kathmandu to Pokhara

Be ready at the Go Beyond office next to Kathmandu Guest House, in Thamel, before 6:30. We'll start our journey early in the morning from Kathmandu and make our way along river valleys, passing by terraced fields to the naturally beautiful Pokhara, a journey of around 7 hours. Explore the beauty of Phewa Lake or walk around and relax along the lakeside.

Day 2: Pokhara to Yanjakot (1200m, trekking time 4-5 hours)

After breakfast, we'll take a short drive for about an hour passing by small towns and villages. We'll start our walk along an off-road track, then continue walking through beautiful forest and head down to the Madi River. After crossing the bridge over the Madi River, we have to climb a steep hill to Yanjakot, a typical Gurung village with great mountain views.

Transportation: Pokhara to Starting Point by Jeep

Day 3: Yanjakot (1200m) to Tangting (1600m, trekking time 4-5 hours)

We'll start walking downhill, passing through villages and forest until we reach Chasu and, from there, we have to climb up to Tangting village. We'll pass a few suspension bridges, villages, and terraced fields along the way. There will also be 15 minutes of walking up a steep hill until we reach Tanting village. This charming village offers magnificent views over Mount Annuparna and the Fishtail Range.

Day 4: Tangting (1600) Trek to Siklish (2000m, trekking time 4 hours)

We'll follow the gradual and steep downhill trail to the Medi River, crossing the river again over the suspension bridge. Then we must climb a steep uphill through terraced fields and meadows to get to Siklish. Siklish is a Gurung village set against the stunning snowy peaks of the Himalayas. The Gurung people are famous for having been recruited as Gurkha soldiers and keep a unique identity.

Day 5: Siklish (2000m)

Today, we will be exploring the Siklish village and its surrounding area. We will be hiking to Rishi Danda, where there's a perfect viewpoint to get the best perspective of the mountains. We'll then visit the local village and its museum.

Day 6: Siklish to Pokhara

We'll take a jeep and drive off-road, passing a few villages on our way back to Pokhara (about a 4-to-5-hour drive). Once we're back in Pokhara, you can explore the city on your own or continue to your next destination.
