The Highball campervan is one of the most popular campervans for two people on a road trip in New Zealand.

The Mighty Highball campervan is suitable for two people and very popular with travellers on a budget. It is packed with nice features, such as a generous double bed, overhead single bed, fridge, stove, microwave and sink. 

If there are three of you travelling and looking for more space you should consider the Mighty Double Down as an alternative.

Please note. The high season for campervan rental in New Zealand runs from mid November to late February. The earlier you book, the cheaper the prices will be. As availability becomes limited, campervans become more expensive. So don't wait too long to book your New Zealand adventure!

Driving and sleeping

The front cabin of the Highball Campervan seats two people. There is an additional seat belt in the back of the van. It's a compact vehicle with manual transmission. The double bed is located in the back of the van and can be transformed into a table for four people during the day.

Under the bunks you have enough space to store luggage. In addition to the double bed, there is also a single bed at the top, but this space is often used as storage space for clothing, boards, snorkel gear, etc. Best suited for two people. Read more

Supplied in the camper you will find linen and bedding, kitchen essentials including crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils, plus all the general living gear you’ll need.

Don’t forget to pack soft bags instead of a suitcase – much easier to store in the campervan. Read more

In the central part of the Highball campervan and just behind the driver's cabin you will find the kitchenette. The interior height of this campervan allows you to stand up while cooking. The kitchenette is equipped with two gas stove burners, a sink, microwave, cutlery and cooking utensils, and a refrigerator where you can store enough groceries for two-three people. Read more

There are three Mighty rental centres in New Zealand: Auckland / Christchurch / Queenstown.

It is possible to book one-way rentals between all the Mighty rental centres. A one-way rental fee applies (NZD $100-300). Read more
