Rent a Hi-Top campervan in New Zealand| KILROY

Looking for a compact, yet spacious campervan? Look no further. What better way to see the North and South Islands of New Zealand than behind the wheel of a Hi-Top campervan. Pull up to your campsite, cook dinner and then sit back and relax, enjoying your meal whilst taking in the sunset.

The Hi-Top campervan is a thoughtfully designed vehicle that sleeps 2 to 3 people. The Hi-Top campervan has a little more comfort and space compared to the compact Chubby campervan. It's the most budget friendly campervan in its class and equipped with all the basic conveniences you need for a road trip in New Zealand.

The HiTop campervan is suitable for two friends or a small family. Two adults can sleep in the double bed in the rear of the van and the top single bed (length: 160 cm) fits a child. You can easily stand up inside the Hi-Top campervan - the name says it all - it has a "high top".

Please note. The high season for campervan rental in New Zealand runs from mid November to late February. The earlier you book, the cheaper. As availability goes down, the campervans become more expensive. So don't wait too long to book your New Zealand adventure!

Driving and sleeping

The Hi-Top is a compact vehicle and simple to drive. It features power steering, power brakes and manual transmission. If you are not familiar with the steering wheel to the right and driving in the left side of the road, don't worry, it will only take you a short while to get comfortable.

The front cabin seats 3 people (two adults and a child) while driving, but only 2 people can sleep in the double bed at the rear of this campervan. If you bring a child, there is a shorter 160 cm roof top single bed. During the day, the double bed can be stored and a table pops up. Up to 4 people can sit comfortably and enjoy a nice campervan dinner. Under the bunks you have space for luggage.

Kitchen facilities

Just behind the drivers cabin you will find the the interior kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, 2 burner stove and sink. The sink has a cold-water electric pump. The microwave is convenient when you are hooked up to power and need to heat your food in a hurry. The fridge holds 57 litres where you can keep your groceries cool. Quite important when it's hot outside!

What does it cost to rent a campervan?

The rental price varies according to demand and season. You'll get the lowest price if you book your Hi-Top campervan well in advance when availability is high. It's also cheaper to travel during low season. On the other hand, if you book close to your departure date or book your camper for high season, you'll pay more. It's just like flight tickets!
