A Spaceships campervan is easy to drive, as it feels much more like a standard car than a large motorhome. The automatic transmission makes it even more effortless – all you need to focus on is the road.
Inside the van you’ll find a table and seating area, perfect for enjoying a cosy campsite meal. Thanks to the roof tent, this compact camper has two double beds and comfortably sleeps up to four people.
Kitchen equipment
At the rear of the vehicle, you can pull out the kitchen unit. It’s compact but cleverly designed, with everything you need for a road trip in New Zealand. It comes equipped with a water tank, a two-burner stove, a 15-litre fridge/freezer, and storage space for pots, frying pans and other essentials.
Rental locations and one-way hire
There are two Spaceships rental locations in New Zealand:
On the North Island, rentals are based in Auckland, and on the South Island in Christchurch.
One-way hire is always included when you rent a Spaceships campervan, so there are no extra or hidden fees.
Minimum rental age
You must be at least 18 years old to hire and drive this campervan. You also need an international driving permit in addition to your local driving licence. There are no additional fees for young drivers aged 18–20.
Optional extras for hire
Additional equipment can be hired for an extra fee. Optional add-ons include:
