Experience one of the most important events of the Maltese calendar: the famous local «festa» when every town and village of the island honours its patron saint. Every Saturday, from June to September, join the Maltese and discover another aspect of the local life: the streets are decorated with light festoons, bright and colourful streamers stitched up by the village women depicting the life of the patron saint, the parish church is splendidly decorated with silverware, statues and red damask. Flags with thousand colours as well as pictures of the patron saint are hanging from roofs and balconies of each village house. Share with the locals the fireworks display organised by the village bands as well as the brass band marching around the village entertaining the devotees and the hundreds of visitors alike. On request, depending on the year’s calendar of events.
