This enormous neo-gothic building was erected in the period 1885 to 1904. It is 268 m long and the dome has a height of nearly 100 m. The building is in three sections. In the middle you see the Copula hall, to the right the Congress Hall (old Upper House) and to the left the Assembly Hall where the present Hungarian parliament holds their meetings. You can join a tour with a local English speaking guide and have the chance to see the parliament building from the inside. This is always a good experience as you will get an insight into the political activities of a foreign country. The tour might be subject to cancellation at short notice in cases of official arrangements. The admission fee will then be refunded. PLEASE REMEMBER YOUR PASSPORT.
