Hafencity & Speicherstadt - A self-guided tour full of discovery. Routes recommended by locals. Urban development meets digital discovery – a rally for sharp minds: This interactive tour invites youth groups to explore Hamburg independently – from the brick-built Speicherstadt to the innovative HafenCity. With 21 exciting stops, students solve riddles, find clues, and learn through observation. Architecture, flood protection, trade history, and urban change – all packed into one dynamic route. Guided via smartphone, the rally uses maps, images, and quizzes to foster engagement and orientation. Small teams navigate the route at their own pace, boosting collaboration and critical thinking. A hands-on learning experience where the city becomes a classroom – flexible, modern, and full of surprises.
• Starting point: Kaiserkai (near subway station Überseequartier)

• End point: Sandtorhöft (near subway station Baumwall).

• Distance covered: around 6 km.

• It is recommended to divide participants into groups of 3-4 people.

• The rally requires a smartphone with browser and internet connection (offline use also possible after initial download) it is launched via a shared QR code and used on participants’ smartphones. For navigation use a clear map (e.g. Google Maps) with images, directions, and progress tracking.

• Points are collected at each stop; group scores can be compared at the end.
