Spend some time in a large, black box-shaped building and learn about the cold war. It is located a few meters from iconic Checkpoint Charlie and tells the story of the cold war in a very authentic way.
The Cold War broke out shortly after the Second World War between the victorious parties: The east (communist) block, led by Soviet Union and the west (capitalist) block, led by USA.
As you approach the Black Box building, you will note the dark walls contrasting with light grey, multilingual phrases like, "Cold War", "Espionage", "Peace" and "Democracy". This immediately gives you a hint of what to expect inside. As you get inside you will be have an English-speaking guide and you will learn about the war from exhibitions, media stations, stories, short films of interviews with witnesses of that time, pictures, models, original objects from the war and more.
The price is for an English-speaking guide.
Entrée of 2,50 EUR per person must be paid on spot.
