Take a visit to the family-owned vineyard, Papagiannakos, just 30 km from Athens. The vineyard is a small but well-known winery that produces a recognized Greek wine. Some episodes of the Greek version of “Masterchef” have been taken at the vineyard. Even if the family has produced wine here through generations, you will find the vineyard built in a new and modern style with special focus on creating the best conditions for wine making in terms of light, cold and heat. The owner will guide you on the tour and tell about the foundation of the winery, and the history of the wine and the region. You will also get an insight into the wine production, from grape to bottle and export. It’s obvious to ask questions during and after the tour and it’s a good idea to prepare some questions before the visit. The visit is very relevant for you if chemistry or biology is your subject but the tour is for everybody. The owner has studied marketing so if export, marketing, innovation, etc. are the themes of your tour, you can also ask questions in these areas. You are free to express your wishes via a motivated letter. The visit is a half-day visit, inclusive of transportation both ways
