Wicklow Mountains

Wicklow Mountain National Park is located just south of Dublin. The area consists of granite rocks and bog areas, called "the boglands”. Most of the mountains are scored by ice and age, and look more like hills – the Ice Age created steep gorges where there are now rivers and lakes that create a beautiful and, at times, rugged landscape. A typical trip to Wicklow Mountains includes a drive along the coast, where you, among other things, will see Dun Laoghaire Harbour, Dalkey and Killiney. In Glendalough you will get a guided tour around the area where you will see the Monastic Site from the 13th Century and the magical Valley of the Two Lakes, among other things. The drive will take you around in the area’s magnificent nature with its raised bogs, sandy beaches and spectacular waterfalls among green valleys and forests. Don’t forget to have plenty of power on your phone, as there is ample opportunity to take lots of photos. This daytrip is approximately 8 hours.
