The ARCHELON Sea Turtle Protection Society of Greece was established in 1983 and is the only shelter for turtles in Greece. Its aim is the protection of sea turtles and their habitats. Focus areas include protection of nesting areas related to tourism and sea turtle rescue and rehabilitation. The guide shows you around the center where you will see the injured turtles and learn about turtles and conservation. The tour takes about 30-45 minutes. Admission to the center if free but visitors are encouraged to make a donation.
