Boyne Valley Tour

This tour focuses on the area north of Dublin where you can enjoy a daytrip to Boyne Valley, which is one of the oldest parts of Ireland. The county of Meath is known as the Royal Township; the place from where the High Kings of Ireland once ruled the country. A breathtaking car ride through Ireland’s most beautiful nature will take you to the old town of Trim. Here you will get a guided tour of the famous Trim Castle, which is the largest, best-preserved and most impressive Anglo-Norman castle in Ireland. From here, you will travel to one of the holiest sites in the old Ireland – The Hill of Tara. It is said that a fourth of Ireland’s scenery can be seen from this hill. It is possible to enjoy a packed lunch here while admiring the view. You will drive to the outskirts of Ardee from here, where you will make a fascinating stop by The Jumping Church. Subsequently you drive to Monasterboice, where you will see Ireland's most beautiful and best-preserved tall cross, deriving from the 9th or 10th century. This is a prime example of Irish religious art. Last stop on the tour is the historical city Drogheda, where you will visit St. Peters Church. This daytrip lasts approx. 8 hours.
