It is possible for you to put together your own tour. Besides Hill of Tara and Drogheda you can also visit Newgrange and Knowth. We do however recommend that you visit max. 2 of the 3 of these places, to make the most of your visits.
Newgrange and Knowth:
Newgrange and Knowth is located on the north bank of the Boyne River and is one of Europe's most remarkable prehistoric sites. There is for example a tomb from approximately 3000 b.c. which is about 73 m. in diameter and 13 m. tall. It is circular with white and black rocks and is covered with dirt and grass. You can, via Bru Na Boinne visitor Centre, access the tomb and see the decorated rocks.
Please note that Newgrange and Knowth is a very popular attraction and requires booking up to 6 months prior.
Entry at Hill of Tara Visitor Centre is free
Price per entry at Newgrange and Knowth + Bru Na Boinne, 19-25 EUR
There will be a reservation fee.
