Los Angeles Time on your own

First stop on the itinerary is Los Angeles. As it's a long flight from the UK, and because L.A. is too cool a city not to explore, we recommend that you stay here for a few days and explore at your leisure.

We can hook you up with a really cool hostel right by Venice Beach, one of the best places to stay when you're in L.A. Check out the beach promenade, explore nearby Abbot Kinney Boulevard filled with hip cafés and quirky designer shops, and check out the view from Griffith Park Observatory. When you're done exploring L.A. it's time to get your surf on!

Dana Point Surf's up

It's only a short 1hr drive from Los Angeles to Dana Point, so you'll arrive at the surf camp in no time. Throw your bag in your room and get ready to conquer the waves. You'll have surf instructions during the day from some of the best in this area, and by the end of the week, you'll be jumping up on that board like a pro.

When the sun is setting and it's time to chill, enjoy the laidback vibe of the surf camp. Hang out with the rest of the surfers and enjoy a well-deserved cold beer after a long and exhausting day riding the waves.

Los Angeles to Las Vegas Road trip style tour

You've learned to surf - check! Now it's time for some jaw-dropping nature experiences on an 8-day group adventure that takes you all the way from Los Angeles to Las Vegas in a road-trip kind of style.

On the way you'll explore some of the most iconic National Parks in western USA. First up is Joshua Tree National Park before entering legendary Grand Canyon National Park. As if that's not enough, you'll also pass both Bryce National Park and Zion National Park before touching down in Las Vegas, famous for its amazing parties and thousands of gambling opportunities. Time in Las Vegas is on your own, and how you want to spend it, we'll leave to you.

Explore the highlights of the American west on this itinerary that takes you from the beaches of Los Angeles to the casinos of Las Vegas with plenty of outdoor adventure along the way.

It all starts in Los Angeles where you'll spend a week learning to surf and catching some waves on the coast of California. This awesome surf camp will teach you everything you need to know and you'll be with a fun, young crowd of like-minded travellers. 

Next up is a small-group tour that offers an iconic American road trip with a twist - everything's arranged for you and you'll be travelling with other backpackers. Your first stop is Joshua Tree National Park, then the Grand Canyon and on through both Zion National Park and Bryce National Park before ending up in Las Vegas, also known as Sin City. See if you're lucky at the tables or spend some time at one of the many, many parties going on at all times during the day.
