First stop of your journey is Delhi, the ultra-busy capital of India. While it may look like total chaos, and overwhelming to outsiders, it's a fun city to visit. Depending on how much days you'll have in Delhi, we suggest the Indian Gate, the Lotus Temple, or simply wander around the streets of the Chandni Nok neighborhood.
The Karol Bagh market is a must-visit, you can find literally everything here, so if you forgot to pack anything, you can find a bargain here. Don't forget to sample some of the street food you'll come across, as Indian dishes are simply SO good. Our suggestion: masala dosa!
Your camera is going to work overtime in Jaipur. This must be one of the most picturesque places in India, with amazing temples, mosques, little alleys and viewpoints. Luckily you have a few days to spend here, so you can really explore the place. Palace of the Winds is a little touristy, but still worth a visit as it's so impressive and stunning in its own way.
A guided tour of the Amber Fort is also on the program. This sandstone giant sort of blends in with its surrounding hills, but up close is seriously impressive. End your day at one of the local markets, or spend it at one of the many bars in the centre getting to know your new friends.
It's not everyday you get to visit one of the 7 modern wonders of te world, but today is one of them! In Agra, the big attraction is the Taj Mahal. Often regarded as the pinnacle of Muslim architecture, this massive white marble mosque will surely impress you.
After a thorough tour of the area, you will visit some other nearby monuments and learn about the underlying history and culture. After this, it's legs up on the night train to your next destination!
When thinking about Nepal, you probably get images of snowy mountaintops and ancient monasteries in your mind. And yes, that is all to come later on in your trip. But first we'd like to show you a completely different side of Nepal, with grassy plains and thick forests reminding you of Southeast Asia.
In Chitwan, you can go on a safari to explore the national park and its animals, including even rhinos and tigers. During the two nights you'll stay in the area, you will sleep at a local homestay. It's the perfect opportunity to get an insight in the true Nepalese culture and cuisine. A curious mind is a joy forever!
Pokhara is famous because of the Annapurna mountain range. A little less demanding than Mount Everest, but still gorgeous snow covered peaks and lakes that seem to belong in fairytales. In Pokhara you will join a cooking class to learn how to make momo, a type of Nepalese dumplings. And yes, of course you get to try your creations.
At night, life is happening at the lakeside bars, where visitors and locals mingle to have a good time with a beautiful backdrop.
In the capital of Nepal there's plenty to see and do. It's one of those places where you can just wander around and see where it takes you. Be sure to make some time for the amazing Nepalese cuisine, which if we have to describe it is most similar to Indian food. We suggest trying Dal Bat, a dish based on steamed rice and cooked lentils. Simple but oh so delicious.
Also make sure to rest up for the coming days, when you're heading into the gorgeous Himalayas that are looming over Kathmandu.
The big one! Mount Everest is officially the highest mountain on the globe, and you're going to climb it. Well, partly, as your journey will end at the Everest Basecamp. On the way here, you'll trek through the Sherpa highlands and come across Buddhist monasteries and the incredible Khumbu Glacier. You'll also get the opportunity to climb up the Kala Pathar, a peak of 5445-metres high. It's an amazing vantage point for magnificent views of the southwest face of Mt Everest and the rest of the Himalayas.
