You start the group trip in Johannesburg, where you'll meet the rest of the gang. There will be a guided trip to Soweto where you'll get a chance to deep dive into the South African history and cultural heritage. The history itself is not for the faint-hearted but it gives an impression of the country you're about to visit for the next few weeks. After a couple of days here, it's time to move East towards Kruger National Park.
On the way to Kruger from Johannesburg you'll take the Panorama Route, and it's not for no reason that name was given. You'll pass some of Africa's most unique landscapes including the area surrounding Graskop. Stay for the night before heading into the National Park itself. You have 2 days to enjoy the vibes at the camp site and the game drives in one of Africa's biggest and most diverse national parks.
Head on from Kruger into Eswatini, the small landlocked country formerly known as Swaziland. Once you cross the border you enter into Hlane National Park, a protected area filled with diverse wildlife and cultural Swazi ecosystems. There will be another game drive as well as a local musical performance created by the rangers once you're again situated around the camp fire.
From Eswatini you move back into South Africa again. First stop is another national reserve, from where you'll be transported to a local village where you get the chance to learn everything there is to know about the local everyday life in a small Zulu community.
Enjoy the sunset over beautiful Lake Jozini whilst the local villagers share their stories around the campfire accompanied by a delicious authentic Zulu meal. Next stop is Durban, a coast town, where you have the time to chill by the beach or walk around on the promenade.
Final destination of this group trip is magnificent Cape Town. Here you'll visit the iconic Table Mountain from where you can enjoy the breathtaking view over the city. Included is also a tour to Cape Peninsula where there will be stops in both the local fishing village Hout Bay as well as in Cape of Good Hope.
You also get time to explore Cape Town with the rest of your travel mates before it's time to say goodbye for this time. We have included flights home, however if you want to stay or continue your travels, just let us know in advance so we can help you plan the trip.
