Ubud Days 1-4

Welcome to Indonesia and the start of your honeymoon adventure!

Arriving at Denpasar International Airport, you'll be met and transferred to your hotel - the Ananda Cottages in Ubud. On the way you'll watch the scenery change from bustling streets to rice fields, temples and craft villages. Spend the rest of the day at leisure relaxing after your flight.

The following day you'll enjoy a half-day tour of Ubud's spiritual side, starting with a traditional Balinese offering to ask permission from the gods to enter the temple. Take a holy bath to purify yourself before exploring the complex of Gunung Kawi and the temple of Tirta Empul with its 14 holy water spouts. Enjoy lunch at Yayasan Cafe, run by young people with special needs.

The next two days are free for you to explore independently or choose from a number of excursions to add a dash of adventure to your honeymoon.

Opt to rise early and hike up Mount Batur to watch the sun rise over the spectacular landscape, often shrouded with cloud while peaks rise high above. For something adrenaline-pumping, join a white water rafting experience on the Ayung River with lunch and a hot shower waiting for you at the end.

If you prefer a more relaxed experience, join a morning cooking class where you'll learn to make Balinese dishes and visit a local market to get to know the ingredients you'll be using to create your meal.

Candidasa Days 5-6

On day 5 you'll travel from Ubud to Candidasa, located on the east coast of Bali. The area is home to a stunning lagoon with rocky beaches. Here you'll be staying at the Ashyana Candidasa Resort in a deluxe room.

Along the way you'll stop at a traditional Balinese village to learn about their way of life. You'll visit rice fields and water springs, and see the Subak system that provides irrigation to keep crops watered. The walk ends with a refreshing dip in one of the riverside springs. Enjoy lunch made from fresh ingredients sourced from the local area and cooked on a wood-fired stove.

The following day is at leisure to explore independently or choose from an offering of optional activities. You could choose to take a 4WD journey to Salak Agro - a snake fruit plantation, driving through vibrant nature and scenic villages. From the top of a large hill you'll enjoy panoramic views of Mt. Agung, and Mt. Rinjani (if you're lucky!).

Another option is a snorkelling trip to the Blue Lagoon. With its white sandy beaches, crystal clear waters and rice corals. Blue Lagoon is the perfect place for those who want to experience true island paradise. Sprawl out on the soft sand and relax or head out into the stunning waters and explore the beauty that lies below the surface.

One final option is a Sibetan Eco Trek excursion, passing through rice fields and villages with a stop at a snake fruit plantation where you can pick your own fruit and enjoy a fresh coconut. You'll also have a chance to sample local rice-based wines before enjoying a traditional lunch.

Senggigi Days 7-8

On day 7 you'll be transferred from your hotel to Padangbai harbour to go to Bangsal harbour on the island of Lombok by fast boat. From Bangsal you'll continue by car to Senggigi and check into the Puri Mas Boutique Resorts & SPA. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

The following day you'll head into rural Lombok with a visit to Bonjeruk village. Visit the English camp with a student from the youth organisation's language learning programme. Then head out by bike around the rice fields with lunch at a lovely spot in the village. The day concludes with a touch of sweetness as the village women introduce you to their local cakes and snacks made of flour from the locally grown potatoes or sticky rice.

Gili Air Days 9-12

This morning join the Senaru Panoramic Walk led by local women guides. Tour Senaru village and valley to explore the foothills of spectacular Rinjani volcano in Lombok's northern district of Bayan. Starting near the border of Gunung Rinjani National Park, your route follows old pathways amongst shady bamboo groves and village gardens before entering a wide-open landscape of rice terraces and palms.

Afterwards, you'll be transferred to Bangsal harbour to travel by wooden boat to Gili Air. This island is home to stunning beaches and you can walk around the whole island in less than three hours. No motorised vehicles are allowed on the island, resulting in a laidback cycling and donkey vibe.

On arrival at the Gili Air harbour, you can walk to your hotel or take a horsecar (known locally as a cidomo). Check into the Royal Regantris Villa Karang and spend the remainder of the day at leisure.

There are no planned activities for the next two days, so you are completely free to do as little or as much as you please. Relax on the beach or by the resort's swimming pool. Indulge in a massage at the spa. Explore the island by bike or hire a kayak or paddle board and see the island from the water's surface. You can also join a snorkelling trip to see the sea life below.

Sanur Days 12-14

On day 12 you'll say goodbye to the peaceful island of Gili Air and transfer to the harbour for a fast boat ride to Padangbai harbour on the island of Bali. On arrival you'll be met and transferred by car to the town of Sanur. Here you'll check into Parigata Resort & Spa.

The laidback beach town of Sanur is only a 45 min drive from the international airport in Denpasar, making it the perfect place to enjoy one final day of rest and relaxation before your honeymoon comes to an end and you fly back home.
