Upon arrival at Cape Town's international airport, collect your car and make your way to your accommodation. You'll be spending three nights at Antrim House. Tucked away in the heart of Green Point, this beautifully restored Victorian-style guesthouse is the perfect blend of old-world charm and modern comfort.
Spend the rest of the day exploring the city's scenic promenade, lush parks, and beautiful beaches—all set against the iconic backdrop of Table Mountain. The evening is yours to enjoy at leisure, taking in the charm and energy of this vibrant destination. We recommend heading to the V&A Waterfront for a romantic first dinner.
Over the next two days, experience the best of Cape Town with a number of included activities.
First up is a tour of the Robben Island Museum. Step into history with a fully guided tour from the Nelson Mandela Gateway to the iconic Robben Island. This unforgettable 3.5-hour journey (weather permitting) begins with a scenic ferry ride across Table Bay, offering beautiful views of Cape Town’s skyline and Table Mountain.
Once on the island, walk in the footsteps of Nelson Mandela and other freedom fighters who were imprisoned during South Africa’s struggle for democracy. Led by knowledgeable guides many of whom are former political prisoners you’ll explore the maximum-security prison, Mandela’s former cell, and hear powerful stories of resilience and hope.
Later, be enchanted by the magic of Table Mountain with a scenic ride on the Aerial Cableway. In just five minutes, the rotating cable car gently carries you 1,089 meters above Cape Town, offering breathtaking views every moment of the way. Once at the summit, take your time to explore the vast beauty at the top.
With your hire car you can spend a day on a scenic self-drive trip to Cape Point and the Cape Peninsula. Your first stop is the historic Cape Point Nature Reserve. Hop on the Flying Dutchman Funicular, which takes you up to the old lighthouse for panoramic vistas of rugged cliffs and the sparkling Atlantic Ocean.
Next, head to Boulders Beach, home to a colony of endangered African penguins. Walk along the boardwalks to observe these charming creatures in their natural habitat while enjoying the pristine beach and turquoise waters.
