Cape Town Arrival
Welcome to Cape Town and the start of your unforgettable honeymoon!
Upon arrival at Cape Town's international airport, collect your car and make your way to your accommodation. You'll be spending three nights at Antrim House. Tucked away in the heart of Green Point, this beautifully restored Victorian-style guesthouse is the perfect blend of old-world charm and modern comfort.
Spend the rest of the day exploring the city's scenic promenade, lush parks, and beautiful beaches—all set against the iconic backdrop of Table Mountain. The evening is yours to enjoy at leisure, taking in the charm and energy of this vibrant destination. We recommend heading to the V&A Waterfront for a romantic first dinner.
Cape Town Two days to explore
Over the next two days, experience the best of Cape Town with a number of included activities.
First up is a tour of the Robben Island Museum. Step into history with a fully guided tour from the Nelson Mandela Gateway to the iconic Robben Island. This unforgettable 3.5-hour journey (weather permitting) begins with a scenic ferry ride across Table Bay, offering beautiful views of Cape Town’s skyline and Table Mountain.
Once on the island, walk in the footsteps of Nelson Mandela and other freedom fighters who were imprisoned during South Africa’s struggle for democracy. Led by knowledgeable guides many of whom are former political prisoners you’ll explore the maximum-security prison, Mandela’s former cell, and hear powerful stories of resilience and hope.
Later, be enchanted by the magic of Table Mountain with a scenic ride on the Aerial Cableway. In just five minutes, the rotating cable car gently carries you 1,089 meters above Cape Town, offering breathtaking views every moment of the way. Once at the summit, take your time to explore the vast beauty at the top.
With your hire car you can spend a day on a scenic self-drive trip to Cape Point and the Cape Peninsula. Your first stop is the historic Cape Point Nature Reserve. Hop on the Flying Dutchman Funicular, which takes you up to the old lighthouse for panoramic vistas of rugged cliffs and the sparkling Atlantic Ocean.
Next, head to Boulders Beach, home to a colony of endangered African penguins. Walk along the boardwalks to observe these charming creatures in their natural habitat while enjoying the pristine beach and turquoise waters.
Enjoy the flexibility of stopping at charming fishing villages or local eateries for a taste of Cape cuisine. Keep your camera ready as every turn reveals a postcard-perfect scene.
Franschhoek Optional Activities
After breakfast, depart Cape Town and drive to the picturesque town of Franschhoek - home to beautiful vineyards, mountain views, and rich heritage perfect for a peaceful and scenic escape.
Check in at Rickety Bridge Country House - your base for the next two nights. This 5-star Cape Dutch retreat is nestled in the heart of Franschhoek’s scenic wine valley and surrounded by breathtaking views of vineyards and mountains.
Once in Franschhoek there are plenty of optional activities to keep you entertained. Visit historic wine estates to sample the local goods, dine at top restaurants, stroll through art galleries, relax at a luxurious spa or opt for something a little more active with a horseback ride or hike through Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve.
We've included the Franschhoek Wine Tram Hop-on-Hop-Off Experience. Choose from eight different lines, each highlighting a distinct part of the valley. Begin at either the Franschhoek or Groot Drakenstein Terminal, enjoying a curated day with options for wine tasting, cellar tours, lunches, and vineyard strolls. The experience utilises double-decker trams and open-air tram-buses, allowing you to hop on and off at your preferred stops.
Kruger National Park Safari Game Drives
Your journey continues as you depart Franschhoek and drive yourself to Cape Town International Airport, where you’ll return your rental vehicle and check in for your flight. You'll then board a 2.5-hour flight heading northeast to Nelspruit (Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport).
Upon arrival in Nelspruit, you’ll be met by a driver for your road transfer to Mdluli Safari Lodge, located within Kruger National Park. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenic drive as you head into the heart of the bush for the next chapter of your African adventure.
For the next three nights you'll be staying at the Mdluli Safari Lodge on full board basis (all meals) with two game activities per day. Nestled in the southwestern realm of Kruger National Park, this luxurious tented haven offers an authentic Siswati experience and a profound commitment to conservation. Explore the park through Big Five game drives, guided bush walks, and engage with knowledgeable guides who share both the park's secrets and their own captivating stories.

Victoria Falls The power of nature
After your magical experience in Kruger National Park, it's time to bid farewell to South Africa. You'll be collected from the Mdluli Safari Lodge and transferred to Nelspruit Airport for your included flight to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.
Enjoy a friendly welcome and arrival transfer to your accommodation. You'll be spending two nights at Shearwater Explorers Village - the perfect haven from which to explore Victoria Falls. The property is located a mere 400m from the world-famous falls.
This evening, enjoy a romantic sunset cruise on the Zambezi River. The elegant, custom-designed boat offers a unique and intimate setting, perfect for soaking in the golden glow of the African sunset. During the guided cruise, you'll enjoy world-class service with a selection of imported wines, spirits, and a delicious assortment of gourmet hot and cold canapés.
Relax in the plush, contemporary furnishings as you glide upriver, taking in the breathtaking scenery of the upper Zambezi. Along the way, you may spot a variety of wildlife and a rich array of birdlife that call this river home.
The following day explore Victoria Falls from all angles. First, step aboard the Bamba Tram for a one-of-a-kind adventure that takes you through the heart of Victoria Falls. This open-air tram offers an intimate and nostalgic journey along the historic railway lines that once served this iconic destination. Perfect for nature lovers and photographers, the Bamba Tram experience allows you to soak in the breathtaking scenery at a leisurely pace.
Next, enjoy a guided tour of Victoria Falls. Your expert guide will lead you through the lush Rainforest, sharing fascinating insights into the area’s history, diverse plant life, and resident wildlife. A stop at the iconic 'Big Tree' provides the perfect photo opportunity, and raincoats are available to keep you dry from the misty spray.
After a memorable stay at Shearwater Explorers Village, it’s time to bid farewell to the beauty of Victoria Falls. Once you’ve checked out, a friendly driver will meet you and assist with your luggage before transferring you to the Victoria Falls airport.
