Join a surf camp in Costa Rica and live the pura vida

Go surfing in Costa Rica where our local surf schools offer teaching to novice surfers, as well as experienced surfers. You surf with other young people from all over the world and our skilled surf instructors are always ready to help you and challenge you on the board.

If you go to a surf camp in Costa Rica, you get to enjoy the beautiful beaches, the friendly locals and their "Pura Vida" mentality. You live close to the beach and when you are not surfing, you are close to restaurants and bars and there is ample opportunity to explore nature, enjoy the food and make new friends with like-minded travellers.

What to expect at a Costa rica surf camp

Our surf camps in Costa Rica include twice-daily surf lessons with all of your equipment included (your surfboard, wetsuit, etc). Accommodation is usually shared in dormitories (perfect for solo travellers), though there's often the option to upgrade to a private room (great for couples or those who prefer their own space). Daily breakfast is a given with lunch also included. Dinners might be at the surf camp or they might be at a local restaurant.

As well as practical surf lessons, you'll also take surf theory lessons. And most of our surf camp packages include a few yoga classes to keep you nice and supple while you learn to surf. The surf camps are located in the surf town of Santa Teresa on the Nicoya Peninsula facing the Pacific Ocean.
