Accommodation
Hostel
At the hostel you can choose to stay in either a 4-bed mixed dorm with AC and shared facilities or private twin room without AC and with shared bathrooms. There is WIFI, hot-water showers (solar energy), a common area to hang out when you are not attending classes, as well as a spacious and equipped kitchen where you can prepare your own meals. The hostel is close to the beach, shopping and nightlife!
Local Homestay (Female Only)
You will have a private room and a shared bathroom in the package with homestay in Costa Rica. It always includes pick-up at the local bus station, an orientation in town, laundry servce and breakfast. Both lunch and dinner can be added if you wish at an additional cost. Food is typical Costa Rican so you will eat rice and beans, chicken, plantains and lots of fruit. We can only expect the local family to adapt their cooking a little bit to your specific dietary needs so if you eat for example gluten free, you will need to bring some products to supply the food that will be offered. Please note that this type of accommodation is Female Only.
If you have booked our pick-up package from San Jose, we know what time you will be at the bus station, but without that package, you need to let us know what time you will arrive in Puerto Viejo so we can welcome you at the bus station and bring you to your host family in Puerto Viejo!
