London to Paris Day 1

Welcome to day one of what might just be the best trip of your life. After meeting in iconic London and soaking up the buzz of the city, it’s time to hit the road and set our sights on the adventure ahead. The excitement builds quickly as we leave the capital behind, knowing this is just the beginning of something unforgettable.

Before long, the scenery shifts dramatically as we reach the legendary White Cliffs of Dover. Towering over the coastline, these striking chalk cliffs are your first taste of Europe’s natural beauty. Cameras out, jaws down, it only gets better from here.

Crossing the English Channel, we arrive in Calais, stepping onto French soil and into a region steeped in history. Here, you’ll gain a powerful glimpse into the past with insights into the World War I battlefields of the Somme Valley, a moving and meaningful moment that adds depth to the journey.

Spend the day soaking up the magic of Paris, where every corner feels effortlessly iconic. Next up is the elegant city of Bordeaux, where wine has been part of life since the 1st century. Safe to say they have perfected their craft. Beyond the vineyards, the city itself is effortlessly beautiful, with grand architecture and the striking Miroir d'eau reflecting the skyline in a way that feels almost surreal.

Bordeaux to San Sebastian Day 4

Take in your final moments in Bordeaux before we hit the road and head south towards the Spanish border. In just a few hours, the scenery shifts again and we arrive by the coast in the effortlessly cool San Sebastián. This seaside gem is made for slow wandering, people watching, and soaking up the laidback atmosphere that blends French elegance with Spanish energy.

With two nights here, there is no rush. You are free to explore at your own pace, from golden beaches to buzzing old town streets filled with character. When it comes to food, this place speaks for itself. If you are up for it, there is the option to join a pintxos tour and dive into one of Spain’s most iconic food scenes. San Sebastian to Barcelona Day 6

After settling into the rhythm of laidback mornings and afternoon siestas, it is time to say goodbye to San Sebastián. Do not worry though, we are not leaving Spain just yet. The journey continues inland as we head towards our next stop.

We pause in Zaragoza, a city rich in history and architectural beauty. Here, you will catch a glimpse of the impressive Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar, a striking example of baroque design, alongside a fascinating blend of Islamic and Gothic influences that make this place truly unique.

From here, we make our way to the vibrant energy of Barcelona, where city life meets the Mediterranean Sea. Whether you find yourself wandering through streets lined with gothic architecture, soaking up the buzz of the nightlife, or heading down to the beach for your first taste of the coast, there is no shortage of ways to dive in. As evening rolls around, you can choose to experience the passion and rhythm of a traditional flamenco show, the perfect introduction to Barcelona after dark.

French Riviera Day 9

This stretch of the French Riviera is best experienced up close, and this morning gives you the perfect chance to do just that. An optional bike ride along the coastline lets you take in the views at your own pace, with the sea never far from sight. As the day unfolds, lean into the flavours of the region, from fragrant lavender honey to rich aioli and crisp rosé, ideally all enjoyed together in one long, leisurely meal.

Later, it is time to dial things up with a visit to Monaco. Step into the glamour of the Monte Carlo Casino and take in the grandeur of the Prince's Palace of Monaco, where elegance and history meet. Having exhausted all our legendary puns about Nice, we continue south in search of the UNESCO World Heritage beauty of Cinque Terre.

Welcome to Cinque Terre, a stunning stretch of colourful fishing villages perched along the Italian coastline. With your rail pass in hand, today is all about exploring at your own pace. You might choose to hike between villages, stop for a relaxed food crawl, or enjoy a glass of local wine overlooking the sea, or simply do a little of everything as you take it all in.

Later, we continue on to the historic city of Pisa, where we settle in for the night. After a full day of coastal views, village hopping and unforgettable scenery, it is the perfect place to unwind and recharge before the next stage of the journey.

PISA TO FLORENCE Day 11

In Pisa, no visit would be complete without stopping by the iconic Leaning Tower of Pisa. It would almost be criminal to miss the chance to nail that classic “holding up the tower” photo.

From here, we continue into the heart of Tuscany and arrive in Florence. Spend your time wandering bustling markets with gelato in hand, standing in awe of masterpieces inspired by Michelangelo, and discovering traditional craftsmanship through a live leather-making demonstration. As evening approaches, you can choose to kick off your Tuscan experience with an optional dinner, featuring regional antipasti and local wine, the perfect introduction to Florence by night.

FLORENCE TO SORRENTO Day 12

After saying farewell to Florence this morning, we journey south along the spine of Italy, taking in the changing landscapes as we make our way towards the coast. The destination is the effortlessly beautiful town of Sorrento, where cliffside views and laidback coastal energy set the tone for the days ahead.

In Sorrento, it is hard not to fall head over heels for the setting. Spend your evening by the sea, watching the sun melt into the horizon, and let the charm of the town do the rest. For something truly special, there is the option to visit La Sorgente, a locally owned family-run mozzarella farm nearby, where you will enjoy an authentic Italian meal featuring fresh homemade mozzarella, rich olive oil and a glass of sunshine-coloured limoncello.

SORRENTO Day 13

From Sorrento, no visit would be complete without venturing along one of the most spectacular coastlines in the world.

We set off on a scenic drive along the iconic Amalfi Coast, stopping in the charming town of Amalfi to take in its dramatic coastal views and historic architecture. Along the way, there is also the chance to visit a local lemon farm, where you will learn how the region’s famous limoncello is made, from grove to glass.

SORRENTO TO ROME Day 14

Another unforgettable day begins in Sorrento, where iconic sights and layers of ancient history keep you captivated from morning to night. As we travel along the coast, the views alone are enough to keep your attention fixed out the window.

After less than an hour of winding coastal scenery along the Amalfi Coast, we arrive at one of Italy’s most remarkable historical sites, Pompeii eruption of 79 AD. Here, you will join a guided walking tour through the remarkably preserved ruins of the ancient city, stepping back in time as you explore Roman streets frozen in history.

From there, the journey continues with views of the imposing Mount Vesuvius as we make our way towards the eternal city. We arrive in Rome, where ancient history meets vibrant modern life. Amsterdam To London Day 25

It is time to say goodbye to Amsterdam and your new travel family. With departure around 10am, we make our way to Schiphol Airport as some journeys come to an end, but the memories definitely do not.

For those continuing on to London, we head south through Calais before crossing the channel via White Cliffs of Dover, making our way back into the UK.

From there, it is the final stretch into London, where the trip comes full circle. Arriving back in the capital, it is time to start dreaming up the next big adventure.
