Itinerary

6 Day Kruger Safari - 4* Lodge

Day 1

You are collected from the airport (O R Tambo International Airport) or any address in Johannesburg (within close proximity) between 06:00 - 09:30. Airport arrivals should ensure flights land early enough to collect their baggage and make their way to the meeting spot on time. We strongly advise staying over in Johannesburg one night before the start of your Kruger Package in case of any unforeseen delays upon your arrival.

Embark on your journey with a pickup from your hotel in JHB or O.R. Tambo Airport. Travel through the Highveld grasslands to reach Tremisana Game Lodge in the Kruger Park. Climb aboard an open Landcruiser for a captivating 4-hour Sunset Drive, offering your initial encounter with Africa's rich fauna and flora. Witness the breathtaking African sunset and, as darkness falls, use a spotlight to observe nocturnal animals. Dinner awaits at the Marula Tree Boma, featuring a memorable BUSH BBQ. Following dinner, extend the adventure with a Night Drive, culminating in an overnight stay in en-suite air-conditioned chalets. (D)

Day 2

At sunrise, venture to the Olifants River for a 4-hour Bush Walk, guided by experienced rangers who will unveil the secrets of the bush. Adrenaline surges are inevitable, even with the assurance of well-armed rangers.

Please note children under the age of 12 are not permitted on the Bush Walk & will instead be offered a 4-hour morning Game Drive*

Return to Tremisana for brunch, followed by relaxation around the pool. After lunch, embark on an afternoon game drive. In the late evening, transfer to Katekani for the next phase of your journey (B, D)

Day 3

Embark on a journey to the Orpen Gate of Kruger Park. Aboard a custom-built open-sided vehicle, immerse yourself in a comprehensive wildlife experienc - not just observing game, but also listening to and smelling the essence of the African bush. The absence of windows and elevated position create optimal conditions for excellent photographic opportunities. The Orpen/Satara region boasts the highest concentration of lions in the entirety of Kruger Park. Enjoy a full day of game-viewing and bird-watching in this remarkable wildlife paradise. (B, D)

Day 4

Following breakfast, journey to Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre to learn about conservation efforts and interact with injured and orphaned animals.

Enjoy lunch at Katekani, followed by a drive to Balule Game Reserve for a 3-hour game drive.

Day 5

Immerse yourself in the enchanting wonders of the Kruger National Park as you embark on yet another day filled with exhilarating game-viewing experiences. Traverse the vast landscapes, each corner revealing the diverse fauna and flora that call this magnificent park home. Engage with the natural rhythm of the wilderness, marveling at the majestic creatures that roam freely in their natural habitat. As the day unfolds, allow the magic of the Kruger National Park to captivate your senses, providing ample opportunities to observe wildlife behaviors, capture stunning photographs, and create lasting memories.

As the sun dips below the horizon, signaling the end of a day filled with remarkable encounters, retreat to the comfort of Katekani.

Indulge in a delectable dinner, savoring the flavors of the region, and recount the day's adventures in the company of fellow nature enthusiasts. The evening promises relaxation and tranquility, with the soothing sounds of the African bush serving as a backdrop to your overnight stay. Allow the essence of this captivating day to linger, embracing the allure of the untamed wilderness that surrounds you. (B, D)

Day 6

Commence the day with a Sunrise Walk, followed by a delightful breakfast. Travel through the Panorama Route to marvel at scenic splendors, including the Three Rondawels and the Blyde River Canyon. As the afternoon unfolds, we return to Johannesburg, with airport drop-off available upon arrangement at around 17:00. (B)

Tremisana Lodge

Katekani Tented Lodge
